As the years go by, many stone floors become scratched and stained. We use the most modern equipment that can restore and bring back to life even the most tired and damage surfaces. Most scratches and stains can be completely removed. Our stone floor restoration process, today is more affordable than ever.
We offer complete stone restoration and cleaning for both Commercial and Domestic Premises. Our restoration process consists of a three or four step mechanical process using diamond abrasive pads and water. Generally, three steps are enough but a final fourth polish can be carried out if required. The first step is to grind the surface of the stone with a course grit abrasive pad. The next step is to hone the surface of the stone with a finer grit abrasive pad. Honing makes the surface of the stone very smooth but results in a low level shine. After honing, the final step is to polish the surface of the stone with fine diamond abrasive to achieve the desired finish.
Stone floor Non Slip Treatments. As Health and Safety is at the front of everybodys mind, we have a variety of chemicals and services to greatly increase the slip resistance of stone floors when wet. These can be of great benefit to areas from leaisure centres (poolside and changing rooms) to shops. pubs and entrance lobbies.
Wooden floor maintenance and renovation has also advanced technologically and there are various methods of reviving old floors without the need for drastic heavy floor sanders. These are still used in some applications but generally we will work towards using the least obtrusive technique. Most of the wooden floor seals we use now are water based polyurethane eliminating the 2 day drying period and nasty spirit smells that used to accompany wood seals. This limits the disruption to a home or business considerably.
